Fire crews needed to be decontaminated following a blaze involving asbestos that destroyed three cars and a building in East Devon.
Three fire engines were called to Marcus Road, Dunkeswell just after 9:30pm last night.
Shortly after arriving crews confirmed the building was well alight, and set to work tackling the fire. Crews also identified that asbestos was involved so extra precautions were taken to ensure the safety of the crew and people involved.
By 11:40pm the incident was under control. The workshop and its contents were severely damaged by the fire and crews needed to be decontaminated post incident, as a result of White Asbestos being involved in the fire.
Once the building and area were deemed safe, crews left duty of care with the workshop owner.
